#OOTD

Every now and then I like to dress up a little.

August 4, 2017

Darn it! I did it again! I assure you, I do get dressed! I just need to get better at actually curating my outfits smh. This evening was a very special occasion. Me and some friends were celebrating a birthday/going away party. It was great because it gave me a chance to wear things in my closest that I otherwise wouldn’t get a chance too. It also allowed me to see the benefits of my diet! That pink dress was wayyy tighter on me about a month ago!

I ended the month on a high note. I love going to the theatre – it gives me a great excuse to dress up. Today, I went to see “9-5” at Porthouse Outdoor Theatre. Here’s a tip: if you’re going to see a show outdoors, check the weather first! No matter, I wouldn’t let the rain dampen my sunny disposition.

This past weekend, I was beyond blessed to go to Los Angeles! It was my first time out west and I did not want to disappoint. I loved how free and eclectic everyone’s style was so I decided to try it out for myself. (I must be a true New Yorker at heart, since even in sunny Cali, I cannot get away from wearing black at any given opportunity!)

So I promise not to let an entire month go by without another outfit. 9/10 I’m in rehearsal and my rehearsal clothes usually consist of leggings or sweats aka “clothes you can move in”. With that being said, I was a little hesitant to post this one since I’m wearing something from the last outfit. That’s not to say that I only wear clothes once and then throw them out, but I was hoping that the next outfit I posted would be completely different. Then I realized that I could show a different way to pair the pieces from the first outfit so I went ahead with it. Afterall, style isnt about the clothes you wear but what you do with them, right?

I absolutely loved walking around the streets of NYC in this two piece set! Nothing makes getting dressed easier than an outfit that comes pre-matched!
